Happy Earth Day! We made it! This is a fantastic day to end our We make it-crowdfunding. We love you! Thank you for your trust and thank you for your support to take more care about mother nature and all beings ❤️ now we are able to proceed with Hakuna Matata. We have stopped to make any predictions or an expected opening date as in Morocco everything happens a bit different. So we practice patience.

Do you want to support us in Tamraght? We are looking for people who would like to share their passion (cooking, hosting a café, holding sustainable workshops, carpenter, artists) with us. Send us an email on lovenature@hakunamatatamaroc.com

Youssef and me have a vision. We are going to open the first sustainable oriented, mainly organic and community supporting restaurant & workshopplace in south of Morocco. But we need YOUR HELP. We need 10 000 Euros more to finance a waterfilter, crafting more natural furniture, creating the community kitchen and furnishing the organic kitchen. DONATE and choose your moroccan reward.

Support sustainability in Morocco

We got blocked, because:

  1. Sustainability is not in local’s mindset at all. People are trying to stop us.
  2. Everything what is sustainable or has quality is very expensive here.

We won’t give up. Help us with your donation to make the project Hakuna Matata in Morocco happen. ❤

Crowdfunding Campaign on wemakeit.com

Since almost one year we are trying to open this sustainable place. The first mainly organic, sustainable and community supporting place in the southern of Morocco. We were working hard and thought we can finalise it by ourself, but now we had to realize: We can’t.

Sustainability isn’t common at all in Morocco. So everything what is sustainable (even natural material as wood) and has quality is difficult to find and very expensive. Further some people in the village put us huge stones in our path. The owner of the place just made random construction upstairs monthly, throwing rocks and dirt on our terrace. So we were not able to work for some months. But: We believe in our vision to create a place of sustainability, where everyone (not only men as in a normal moroccan coffee) feels welcome and where we can spread creativity and joy.

What is your part?

Help to finance us the last part of this project. HELP TO FINANCE US THE LAST 10 000 EUROS WE NEED for a waterfilter, crafting more natural furniture, finishing the community terrace and furnishing the organic kitchen.

Help us with your handicraft and creativity as a volunteer

We are looking for volunteers for:

  • DIY
  • PHOTOGRAPHY/SOCIAL MEDIAVolunteers wanted.
  • ASSISTANT OF THE CHEF (focused on juices, cakes, coffees, etc)

Send us an email on contact@maisondarna.com if you are happy to support us in any wise.

Working hard on the construction

Life is a game. You can never predict what is going to happen…especially in Morocco 😉 But: Isn’t that great? So life never becomes boring 🙂

Everything is ON: Construction inside and outside of our place, kitchen experiments for a delicious vegetarian & vegan menu, meetings for sustainable takeaway solutions, choosing the variety of goods for Hakuna Matata Bio Shop, brandstorming for workshop and event ideas, and, and, and.

Get ready for our opening at the end of  2017 (…if this prediction is going to be true or not? let the universe decide)…stay tuned. ♥♥♥
